The City's 2640 water customers are served from five deep wells and two treatment facilities with a combined daily capacity of 2.7 million gallons. Excess capacity over average daily consumption is 1.02 million gallons. Rates are as follows:

Up to 2,000 gallons-------------$6.75 minimum
All over to 2,000 gallons------$2.50 a gallon.

Sewer treatment is by oxidation pond that serves a population equivalent of 10,000. Rates as follows based on water usage:

Ameren Mo Company, which is the major power company in Missouri, serves Caruthersville as well as the other Bootheel Counties.
